Our Lamaze-based birthing classes aim to help you to have the best birth possible by providing you with evidence-based information in a fun and engaging way. Plus, we keep our classes small so you have plenty of opportunity to ask questions!

Birthing class content

Join one of our birthing classes designed to help you create a solid foundation for your growing family. You will gain knowledge and skills that will help you in pregnancy, labor, birth, and parenting. Using an evidence-based approach, you will learn how to disarm the fear response, manage the pain associated with childbirth, and navigate the myriad of options available to you for your birth. You will learn how to have a positive birth experience and leave equipped with skills to stay calm, be confident, and feel in control.
Identifying fears and concerns
How labor works: signs, stages, when to call, and when to go
Practicing comfort measures (massage, breathing, positioning, etc)
Epidurals and common pain medication options
How your partner can be an essential member of the birth team
Informed decision making and how to communicate with your care provider/nurses
Fetal monitoring, induction and cesarean birth
Lactation in the golden hour, the breast crawl, common newborn procedures
Postpartum healing and recovery

Pricing for birthing classes

Birthing classes
We have two locations! Our Saturday Express birthing classes are held either in Chaska or Apple Valley from 9-5pm with an hour for lunch. Check back soon for upcoming class dates!
The ideal time to take this class is in the 3rd trimester, around 30-36 weeks.

What if I need to cancel?
Cancelations 8 or more days in advance will be refunded $250 (cost of class less a $50 admin fee).
Cancelations 0-7 days in advance will not receive a refund, but registrants will have the option to transfer to a later class if available.
