After rocking natural labor at home with my first baby despite it resulting in a surprise breech baby and emergency C-section, I didn't think I needed a doula for my second baby. Luckily, my midwives strongly encouraged me to reach out to Linda and Jeannie to discuss the potential of working together. I loved their kindness, positive energy, and years of experience. I was honest with them in saying I wasn't sure I needed a doula this time. Boy, was I wrong! Jeannie was on call when I went into labor. I rocked labor again, only laboring 7 hours and pushing for 30 minutes before my sweet girl was born in a home water birth, but I could not have done it without her. She massaged my back, rubbed my shoulders, got me ice packs and cold wash cloths, challenged me to move into positions that would help baby descend, and was with me during each contraction. She directed me to breathe through the surges and release like a rag doll in between. It was easy to visualize her advice and made laboring much easier on my body. She prayed over me as I began to push. She calmed my anxiety when pushing started to peak and hurt. She made me feel confident and powerful. She helped me latch my baby, fed me food in bed, and continued to praise my hard work in birthing my beautiful baby. She was worth her weight in gold!!! I will never birth a baby without Jeannie or Linda by my side again.

Thank you for all you did for us during this important time in our lives! You are God's gift to birthing mamas!
